The digital photography explosion has made high-quality cameras capable of producing stunning high-resolution images more affordable than ever but they are complex beasts and often their new owners fear to venture beyond the full-auto settings. We aim to change that and get you to understand the gear so your creativity can take flight.
After 30 plus years of working as commercial advertising photographers, we have decided to run courses for individuals and small groups who wish to improve their photographic skills and share our knowledge around. We cover everything from the beginner’s “removing the fear of going beyond AUTO course”, all the way up to very advanced and specialised material. Many graduate photographers have passed through our studio as assistants and gone on to full-time careers in photography. Recently we have been delighted to meet enthusiastic amateurs who have decided to take their photography to a new level.
Whatever your needs or level of interest we offer tuition from one-to-one up to small groups with friendly and vastly experienced photographers who are not only good communicators but passionate about their chosen calling. For businesses we can train staff to do “in-house” photography so you don’t have to pay us top whack for your day-to day snaps (and we then usually get to do the really difficult shots which we prefer anyway).
Our rates, surprisingly, are lower than any of the major photography schools around and we are completely flexible, tailoring our teaching and course dates to what you want to master and when you want to do it. Courses run out and about in Bristol and also in our extensively equipped studio which is very centrally located with great travel links and parking. We also offer fun trips farther afield and opportunities to snap stuff you wouldn’t normally have easy access to, all with a helpful expert on hand to help you.
