Just finished another fun portrait course – we explored so much more than I thought we would have time to cover due to the extreme enthusiasm of all concerned – I really must get around to running a few more of these. Thanks so much to the participants for making it a great day !
Excellent course! Alan paced the course just right and kept it fun and interesting whilst following through a structured session. Everything made sense and was explained clearly, testament to Alan’s extensive experience in photography and portraits in particular. We learnt how subtle differences in lighting position can dramatically change the mood of the photo and how the personal side of dealing with people is vitally important to good portraits.
Having access to a Alan’s professional studio was amazing yet he demonstrated how to get some great effects with minimal equipment. He could have easily run this course with 10 students but instead kept the course size to just a few people to ensure that all students had his full attention. A pleasure to work with and looking forward to learning more from Alan in the future!
